Artvin
The most striking feature of Artvin is that it is a region with endemic plants. The Black Sea region, where Artvin is located, has a temperate and regular rainfall climate. Therefore, the vegetation of the Black Sea region is forest. The famous hazelnut is also grown in the Black Sea region. Şavşat Karagöl
It is in the Sahara Karagöl National Park. It is one of the most suitable places in the province for Camping and Caravan Tourism. It is also a very suitable place for hiking. The combination of the green Black Sea forests with the blue lake offers a perfect nature view.
Şavşat Tibeti Church
According to the information obtained from written sources, it was built by Asut Koh, one of the Bagratlı Princes, who ruled the region between 899-914. It was used as a mosque after the region accepted Islam. It was damaged by lightning strikes on its dome and cross arms in 1885 and was abandoned in 1889. It is seen that it has a free cross plan in its present form.
